Cayenne® is a lower-growing shrub rose with many clusters of velvety deep red blooms. This variety’s pointed, ovoid buds open to medium-sized, semi-double flowers that are gently cupped. These cups bear inside a cheery show of bright yellow stamens that welcome pollinators and humans alike. Cayenne® is a suitable choice for low hedge and groundcover plantings for its compact and bushy form and disease resistance, reaching around 3′ in height. This rose is a highly floriferous repeat bloomer with medium green foliage that is leathery and shiny. Cayenne® has won many awards, including the Kortrijk/Courtrai Silver Medal and the Lyon 1st Prize in 2022, the Australia Silver Medal in 2021, the ADR-Sorte in 2019, The Hague Gold Medal in 2018, and more.
