The 1812 Rose™ was named to mark the 200th Anniversary of the War of 1812, which was fought between the United States of America and the British Colonies of North America. Being a nursery from Niagara-on-the-Lake, this event is of significance to us. This is a healthy plant with large clusters of cupped old-fashioned flowers. They are a deep crimson red, large, and very full. The rose grows 3′ – 4′ tall. This variety has won a number of rose awards including the Lyon 2009 Grande Rose of the the Century.
