The healthy Sonnenwelt® rose grows vibrant-hued flowers imbued with a rich fragrance. The dark pink buds open to cupped and richly-coloured apricot blooms which are slightly scalloped as they fully open. This upright shrub grows to be 4′-5′ tall, with semi-glossy and leathery foliage. Sonnenwelt® has received numerous awards and recognition, most notably, the Rome Gold Medal 2011, the Hague Bronze Certificate 2015, and the Hague Silver Certificate 2016.

Bare-root pick up roses were only available if pre-ordered in the winter for spring shipping or pickup. All of our roses are now potted. We will not have bare-root roses for preorder in the fall.
Potted roses are available for pick up in-store, while quantities last, until the end of summer. Our garden centre hours of operation are Monday-Saturday, 9 am-5 pm. When placing an online order of potted roses, you will be asked to select a pick up date. These dates will only be available 48 hours from when you place your order, to allow our staff time to arrange the pick up. The status of US import tariffs is constantly changing, with recent tariffs being rescheduled, imposed, lifted, and extended again. Please know for the roses shipping this spring 2025 – If the US government applies a tariff to our shipments, we will have to pass this cost along to our US customers.
