BACK! The Hot Cocoa™ rose grows one-of-a-kind blooms of smoky chocolate with a burnt orange-red reverse. The flowers are large and double, sometimes growing in small clusters. This heat-tolerant and healthy rose is an upright grower and can be 3′ – 4′ tall. Hot Cocoa™ has won a number of awards including: AARS 2003, Australian National Rose Trials Silver Medal 2003, Rose Hills Gold Medal 2004, Gold Standard Rose Trials 2006.

Bare-root pick up roses were only available if pre-ordered in the winter for spring shipping or pickup. All of our roses are now potted. We will not have bare-root roses for preorder in the fall.
Potted roses are available for pick up in-store, while quantities last, until the end of summer. Our garden centre hours of operation are Monday-Saturday, 9 am-5 pm. When placing an online order of potted roses, you will be asked to select a pick up date. These dates will only be available 48 hours from when you place your order, to allow our staff time to arrange the pick up. If you need to reschedule a pick up, please contact store staff at (905) 468-8627 or store@palatineroses.com as soon as possible.
The status of US import tariffs is constantly changing, with recent tariffs being rescheduled, imposed, lifted, and extended again. Please know for the roses shipping this spring 2025 – If the US government applies a tariff to our shipments, we will have to pass this cost along to our US customers.
