Guided Rose Field Tour

This workshop date depends on the spring and early summer temperatures. The actual date will be announced in early July 2023.

Are you curious as to what roses we will be harvesting this fall? Did you want to experience them in person before you purchase them for next spring? Did you ever just want to smell and compare the roses that we are producing? Then this guided tour is your chance. We have been producers of rose plants since 2001 and are excited to share our rose field and rose knowledge with you. Family owned, Palatine Fruit and Rose Farm is nestled in beautiful Niagara-on-the-Lake.

What: Guided Rose Field Tour

Where: Palatine Fruit and Roses, 2108 Four Mile Creek Road, NOTL

When: Mid to Late July, 2023, 1:00PM – 4:00PM

What’s Included:

• Imbue your senses with the burst of colour, textures, and scent of our roses in our current rose field.
• Co-Owner of Palatine Fruit and Roses, Rene Schmitz, will personally take you through the rose field. He will share interesting information, stories, and answer all your questions.
• Cameras and note taking of our rose field are welcomed.
• Refreshments of cool beverages and fresh Palatine fruit will be served following the guided tour.

Important Information:

• Bring really good walking shoes, long pants may be desired as well! You are walking through a fruit farm onto a rose field. It’s dirt, thorns, and flowers. Dress accordingly.
• We are sharing with you our family farm, our orchards, our livelihood. Please honour this sharing.
